The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
